A home extension is a great way to freshen up the visual appearance of your home, as well as offering additional space for extra rooms. Sometimes it comes by necessity due to the homeowner starting a family; other times, it’s simply an aesthetically-motivated decision, whereby those who manage the property feel that it would be beneficial to have extra space.

What is an Extension For?
The home extension can lead to anything from the inclusion of a garage to the construction of a downstairs bathroom to additional bathrooms, or possibly a conservatory at the back of the house depending on where the extension is applied. Bear in mind, too, that extensions can cover multiple floors, offering further room for those residing in the property. Whatever the case may be, home extensions have great long-term benefits to the homeowner and their family, and Roofer and Builder are the perfect people to bring your home extension plans to life.

Types of Liverpool House Extensions
There are a number of different types of extensions available for your property. It all depends on what you’re looking to achieve and whether you need planning permission or are allowed to build under the new permitted development rules. You can find below some of the options available.
Single Story: Single story extensions can be completed under Permitted Development providing they fall within the correct size requirements, although planning permission isn’t required in most cases you do however need to involve building control. We can arrange this on your behalf and deal with all the relevant authorities.
Double Story: Double story extensions do require plans drawn and you generally require planning permission. Building control is also required. We have architects, designers and engineers on board that can deal with all planning, building regulations and even steel calculations completed.
Wrap Around: Wraparound extensions are similar to above. They also require building control, and in some cases planning permission. We can advise on this matter and the required permission during a site visit.

Styles for Your Home
Make it your home, this is the time to be adventurous, have you always dreamed of having a Morrocan Souk Style hideaway, or an Art Deco bolthole? Maybe a Regency abode or a Minimalists dream, whatever you desire we can help you to achieve.
Modern Contemporary: Depending on the property, you may require a more contemporary modern style extension. Again further advice can be given during a site visit.
Traditional: A traditional style extension may suit your property more than the contemporary modern style. If your property is traditional this style may look more in keeping with your layout.
Planning Permissions for Extensions
If you’re looking to have an extension built at your home then planning permission may be needed. This will all depend on the size of the project, type of extension, proximity to your neighbours and what you’re thinking of using the space for.
As previously mentioned all aspects of planning can be taken care of by our in house team. We will guide you through the planning process and help get your project from an idea, into approval and reality with our building works.
